A team of five undergrads — economics majors Aaron Mendez, Sakshi Walia and Bita Kianian and political science majors Janet Perez and Kelsey Brewer — have been selected to compete in the Up to Us nationwide competition that challenges students to increase awareness and engagement among their peers on America’s fiscal issues. The CSUF team is competing against 24 other student teams from universities nationwide, including UC Irvine, University of Michigan, Duke University and New York University. The winning team will be awarded $10,000 and be recognized by former President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative University in 2014.
