Refreshing and elevating the regions destination management plan, taking into consideration all aspects of a destination that contribute to a visitor’s experience, including the perspectives, needs and expectations of visitors, Māori, mana whenua, tourism industry, business community, wider community, central and local government.

^Marketing Manawatu as a great place to visit, live and do business. Content developing and sourcing, copy writing, managing contracted relationships with councils, community groups and national bodies.^Leading project groups and marketing teams for development of brands and concepts such as Te Apiti -Manawatu Gorge and The Country Road Experience NZ. ^Developing The Country Road programme from its initial concept and branding to ongoing success as a hub of cottage industries and community tourism.^Bid for, established and successfully launched the Manawatu Cycleway as part of the New Zealand Cycle Trail. ^Worked with community groups, NZTA, AA and LTA’s to develop the official Manawatu Scenic Route. ^Project led the successful application, implementation and acceptance of achieving Motor Home Friendly status for Palmerston North City, through NZMCA. ^Developed and coordinated events as part of the Square Affair Retro Festival, including fashion shows and exhibitions.

^Leading a team of 5-7 Visitor Consultants to provide outstanding service and expert advice to locals and visitors. Managed budgets, implemented successful team culture and provided competitive and successful team initiatives to drive sales and a strong culture. ^Project lead for the support and development team provided to Te Takere, Levin, in the lead up to the opening of their new community centre and the information centre within. ^This led on to working directly with the De Molen Foxton manager to implement new systems, up-skill and provide ongoing training and support to the manager as and when needed.
