I have worked as a Freelance Spanish Translator/Interpreter since 1994 and have done many different projects over the years. I specialize in Legal, Medical, and Education. I have been published by the Oshkosh Public School District with their Special Education forms through Cesa 6. I first interpreted for Basler Turbo Conversions in 1994, including traveling to El Salvador as a Spanish Interpreter. I have been a member of the professional website for Interpreters/Translators, called ProZ, since 2006 and have had many translation jobs through this site.

I worked directly with the doctors providing assistance on procedures as needed. I provided pre-op and post-op care to patients. I was responsible for all testing, such as Visual Fields, OCT, Pachemetry, Photography, Corneal testing, and Manifest Refractions. I was responsible for screening incoming patients and taking eye pressure readings. I interpreted for Spanish Speaking patients. I also E-Scribed prescriptions to pharmacies for patients. I assisted the front desk in scheduling appointments and scheduling surgeries. I was a team player and constantly strived to maintain fluency in our office. I also assisted the Optical Department with helping patients with selling new glasses or adjusting their current glasses. The office where I worked cared for patients with Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration, Corneal Transplants, Cataract Surgery, Eyelid Surgery, Trabeculectomies, and LASIK Surgery.

I worked as an Optician assisting the doctors with patients, adjusting and selling glasses. I worked in billing and accounts receivable. I cut lenses to fit into patient frames. I could work in every position available while I worked there, so I was able to fill in as needed for vacations.
