Responsible for audience development, earned income, and positioning the Museum to attract visitors and operate in its new facility, which opened in November 2011. Major projects included:- Managed the development and launch of a new brand for the Museum- Oversaw the development of a new Museum website including three Drupal deployments- Established a relationship with an advertising agency of record and integrating the professional services with an in-house marketing team- Rolled out opening-year marketing and advertising strategy- Worked with all aspects of operations to expand and establish a visitor experience that matches the spectacular architecture of the museum building- Supported the funding strategies for a public institution -- private fundraising, public funding, and earned income- Positioned and promoted the Museum as a leading tourist attraction in Utah- Developed a new private events business unit for the MuseumResponsibilities included: achieving earned revenue goals for the Museum's annual operation plan; creating awareness of and attendance in Museum programs and exhibits; Accomplishments included: repositioned the social media tools and the NHMU website as the primary audience engagement tool; built new teams within the Museum to support new building fundraising and opening; oversaw the re-branding of the Museum in preparation of opening new building.

Created capital campaign strategy and support tools, created major gifts campaign theme and identity, established strong relationships with existing donors and community volunteers. Raised $2 million in captial gifts. Identified and established relationship with new campaign prospects. Created, hired and developed new annual fund team that grew annual giving from $300K (2003) to $585K (2006). Grew high-level member donor club from 12 to 70 members within two years, 45% of whom are new donors to the Museum, 35% of whom were new donors to the University of Utah. Established UMNH Science Educator Awards program (launched 2004) and new Science Lecture Series (launched 2007).
