Janet has over 30 years of executive and senior management specialising in strategic project management within the food & beverage (FMCG), pharmaceutical (OTC), health, learning (Schools), IT, sustainable and sports industries. Currently she is CEO of Saige Business Consulting, a business that specialises in the development of business strategy and its implementation through project, financial & change management. Saige also focusses on sustainable initiatives, events management and compliance.Together with Elana Meyer and Francois Pienaar, she was extensively involved with the Cape Town Marathon where she served as CEO of ASEM Running, as EXCO Member and Race Director of the Cape Town Marathon. She developed the business plan, took the concept and implemented as a full turn-key project. From concept and business plan development, to full implementation, Janet directed and managed this event, which grew from a small local road race into Africa’s only World Athletics Gold Label status marathon (2017-2020). During her tenure it also was voted as the winner of the International AIMS Green award (greenest marathon on the planet), along with being the winner of the highly acclaimed RSA Sports Industry event of the year awards in 2018 and runner up in 2019. Elana Meyer and Janet are also co-founders and directors of Endurocad, a non-profit company. Janet is integrally involved with the administration and the hosting of its track events, the Stellenbosch Schools bursary program and the Achieve young women empowerment program. Pre-2008 she held the positions of Executive Director for Vital Australia (Pty) Ltd along with Marketing & Sales Director for Vital Health Foods (Pty) Ltd. (South Africa), Janet specialised in new business development, marketing strategy, project management, innovation, R&D, event management and the full marketing & selling functions of Vital Health Foods products and services worldwide. She has actively been involved in many businesses, products and services in Southern Africa and Australia and, consequently is well versed in the workings and requirements of the relevant regulatory authorities.
