Antonia York is a luxury slow-fashion womenswear brand based in Leicestershire.I am the co-Founder and Director of the business and I am responsible for the fashion design. We design 2-3 limited edition collections per year which we showcase at various fashion shows such as recently for London Fashion Week and also through charity fashion events such as that at Durham University where one of our dresses was auctioned with the proceeds going to charity. These together gave a tremendous boost to our overall brand recognition and awareness. We also design 2 ready to wear collections per year which we sell through our own website as well as through third-party websites such as Wolf and Badger, SilkFred and Yumi.We source our fabrics and our manufacturing, locally and within the UK, if possible. We use deadstock material and also upcycle our fabric waste. We have also designed our own printed fabric to complement our fashion styles.As well as showcasing our brand at fashion shows we also market our brand extensively through social media and particularly through Instagram. Our account is growing steadily with good levels of engagement which we also us to solicit audience feedback and opinions on future styles.
