“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.” ― Albert EinsteinThe power of teaching, regardless of the setting, is creating moments where true understanding occurs. Growing up in a family of educators, I developed a love of teaching early on and have continued to be fascinated with the way that human beings absorb and integrate new knowledge.A highly effective teacher with diverse experience delivering differentiated, multimedia instruction to students across the educational continuum, I innovate, adapt, and evolve to meet students where they are and develop programs that achieve learning outcomes. I’ve been selected to turnkey new programs, collaborated on curriculum design and review, and earned both highly effective ratings and the respect of administration and faculty for my commitment to my students.I excel at creating meaningful connections, innovating instructional delivery, and pivoting to adapt with rapid and perpetual in the classroom that has defined the past few years. As a teacher in districts with diverse student populations, I have developed and executed plans to implement new programs, translating key findings from program content to empower our staff to implement new strategies in their classrooms. From my early career on the north side of Paterson, I’ve always been able to connect and engage both students and the broader community. One of my favorite memories is of a mom who made me Farina in the morning and sent it to school after I told her child I’d never had it. Those thoughtful, heartfelt moments were so powerful. My superpower is the ability to simplify the complex, distilling information into digestible bites and using blended strategies to maximize retention. As a special education teacher, I have a robust toolset of strategies at my disposal, including chunking, simplifying directions, modeling step-by-step instructions, etc. Let’s ConnectLinkedIn builds great relationships and I’m excited to connect with like-minded learning enthusiasts to learn and grow together.
