Way back in the late 90s I came across an interesting book. It was called "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Java 2" (http://goo.gl/09xnpS) by Michael Morrison, which presented Java in a quite unique fashion. At that time Java was young and Java Applets were 'the thing'. I was immediately hooked on Java and haven't looked back since.I currently possess over ten years of full-stack commercial experience in Java Enterprise technology and an array of open source technologies such as Spring and Hibernate. I enjoy working in self governing Agile teams with minimal supervision. I have had the privilege of working with high profile customers such as Corena (Norway), Verizon (USA), TradeDoubler (Sweden) and P&O Ferries (UK). Working with such diverse, multi-cultural teams has been both challenging and rewarding at the same time.I have experience in several domains, which include Banking & Financial systems, Insurance, Technical Publication Management (Aerospace, Transportation and Defense), E-Commerce, Service Provisioning, Order Management, Customer Relationship Management, Online Digital Marketing and Reporting.I am a keen & a fast learner who believes in continuous improvement. Although I am well versed in Java technologies I strive to be a generalist. When I am presented with a technology to work with, I make every effort to learn the ins and outs of it as much as possible. My current interest lie in the domain of cloud computing, container based microservices & responsive single page applications (SPAs). So, I'm currently diving into Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AngularJS, React & Redux. When I am not crunching code or reading intimidating technical books, I enjoy gaming on my PlayStation4. I am also an avid amateur astronomer attached to the Western Sydney Amateur Astronomy Group.
Listed skills include Java, Javascript, Angularjs, Javase, and 46 others.
