I joined BDO in 2004 after completing my studies at the University of Economics, Prague. From 2007 to 2010, I worked in BDO USA LLP in the Detroit, Michigan office where I gained knowledge and experience in audit as a Senior Consultant and later Audit Manager. I specifically focused on performing audits of financial statements (individual and consolidated) prepared in accordance with US GAAP and experience with SOX 404 in audits of listed companies. My work experience in the mature US market with a long tradition of providing audit services provided me with valuable knowledge in the field of audit methodology and its efficiency improvements. Upon my return to the Czech Republic, I continued my career in the BDO office in the Czech Republic, where I was appointed a Partner in January 2012. After the merger of BDO and Moore Stephens in 2020, I became the Head of audit and assurance services. My main responsibility was to connect the auditors of both companies, create the functional structure, set-up processes and cooperation model of the new team. Currently, I am specialising in the areas that are closest to my heart: in addition to taking care of major clients, I am mainly dedicated to developing company audit methodology, as well as working with BDO's global network as an International Liaison Partner to share knowledge and participate in enriching international projects. I hold an audit qualification from the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic and an IFRS specialist diploma from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
