I left college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I worked for several years in Denver, Colorado for two of the most influential companies in the real estate development industry. As an Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Real Estate at DC Burns Realty & Trust, an established firm of over 100 years, I was mentored by the best. I then was employed by another giant in the real estate world, Kroh Brothers Development Co., a 77 year old family business based in Kansas City as Executive Secretary to the Vice President/Property Manager. My ten year career in real estate included retail shopping malls and strip centers management, office building, residential, and agricultural property management, as well as, leasing, residential sales, loan origination.A career change to elementary education was successful with many years of substituting for large school districts in Riverside County in Southern California. I also taught third and sixth grades for a private Christian school. I used that experience in my employment as Education Technician with the Children Youth and Teen Program for the United States Marine Corps.
