With over 12 years of experience in project management and innovation, I lead the development and execution of the organisational innovation strategy at Bopinc, a consultancy that combines social impact with a commercial mindset. I scope for new sectors to work in, build the creative confidence of our team of 70 people, and manage a venture fund that supports startups in Africa or Asia.I have a passion for designing and delivering solutions that address the challenges and opportunities of the Sustainable Development Goals, such as ending hunger and ensuring universal access to water and energy. I have guided companies through their innovation processes in which they developed new products and go-to-market strategies with the help of Bopinc's global team of business advisors. Some of the product-market combinations that I have worked on include fortified rice for low-income consumers, weather alert apps for farmers, and nutritious drinks made from cashew apples that would otherwise be thrown away. I hold a master's degree in Integrated Product Design from Delft University of Technology, where I also led a multi-disciplinary team to develop a concept for an affordable and attractive toilet facility for people living in slums in India, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. I have also obtained a certification in Leading Complex Projects from IDEO U, and have multiple patents in the field of industrial design and renewable energy. I enjoy working with likeminded people who share my vision of using the power of creativity, business thinking, and entrepreneurship to design for a better world. My favourite soundtrack to work is the desert blues of Tinariwen.
