Expeditionary Operations - Designed and developed Command and Control Systems Software.Initial Primary effort involved designing and coding enhancements for our Navy's LCAC (Hovercraft).In my second effort I was chosen to lead a team of 3 people to modify the existing software baseline of the Navy's LCAC for use in a brand new ultra high performance HoverCraft built by South Korea. The project result was a successful delivery of the new highly modified software.

Principal Systems Architect and Software Developer.Major Projects:Chicago Mercantile Exchange Web quote service promoting new CME electronic trading Futures products. 1998 - 2001.Designed, developed and maintained one of three Promotional Web sites linked directly with the CME Web presence to deliver near real-time snapshot quotes. The system received a raw ITC v2.1 data stream directly from the CME. Developed and deployed on Windows Server using IIS. The server application and IIS ISAPI components generated multiple HTML pages containing real time quote data refreshed every 3 seconds supporting over 10,000 concurrent users on a single DS1 circuit. Tools: Visual Studio C++, Intel Vtune Analyzer, Thread Checker and SlickEdit. Designed for direct access to multiple Futures Exchange data services.HyperQuote 1.x, 2.x : Proprietary IPv4 based high performance low latency client/server data streaming service.ChartOne 2.x : Windows client application that featured a real-time quote display, intraday tick, daily, weekly and monthly charts with 27 technical studies. The Win32 C++ client application also hosted Internet Explorer Web browser control and Flash™ Active X control to display price quotes and real-time trading floor text commentary.Tools: Visual Studio C++, Intel C++ Compiler, Intel™ Vtune and Thread Checker. Libraries: Stingray Objective Grid and Stingray GUI Toolkit.ChartOne, XchangeDirect, and HyperQuote 1.x were used as major components in branding ULTRACharts™ a commercial retail grade Microsoft Windows™ public Internet delivered Futures day-trading system created for Local Knowledge, Inc. In June of 2002 the ULTRACharts™ Product received a 3 ½ out of 4 rating when reviewed in Futures Magazine, June 2002.

The service also included the entire real-time Oster Communications FWN news feed, commentary from 21 advisory services, and over 80 Weather map images including 25 real-time regional USA and Canadian radar maps. Radar data was updated every 10 minutes. The entire client application and Microsoft Windows™ NT 4.0 data center server network and client were developed using Microsoft C 5.1 and Visual Studio C++. Designed and Developed an MS-DOS™ device driver with a Pop-up user interface window for 400 plus client computers. The device driver with user interface was used to interface with a Gandalf® TDM Serial Switch connected to printer centers to allow client print jobs to be routed to a specific printer throughout an entire multi-floor building.
