I’ve always been fascinated with technology and knew I wanted to work with computers for as long as I can remember. I was born and grew up in South Africa and got my first computer at 10 and taught myself to program. I studied BSc Computer Science but did not complete my final year as I got the opportunity to become part of a small and growing company that I admired. I was lucky and that decision paid off, as I’m still with that company 27 years later and our Group of companies now operate in 30 countries with over 4,000 people. After a few years doing hands on technology work, mostly UNIX, networking and security, I became fascinated with information risk management and business in general. I went back to university part time while I worked to complete a business degree in quantitative management - using math to help make business decisions.I’ve lived in South Africa, Europe and currently live in Atlanta, USA. I now lead a business responsible for implementing complex global payrolls for some of the biggest multinationals companies in the world. In my free time I dabble in various creative outlets, including programming, drawing, making music and writing.
