Adapted an autograder for use in a computational physics course (Fall 2018) * Combined unit tests in python with scripting in python and bash * Implemented 5 key features: -- Automated scanning a matrix of paramters in tests, particularly for numerical functions -- Integrated time limits by running tests in their own processes, redirecting stdout/stderr -- Created framework for grader to incrementally correct students' code using git, preventing minor mistakes from disproportionately affecting grades -- Allowed updates to the autograder to be dynamically pulled via git -- Automated filename checking (with feedback to students) * Successfully caught qualitatively important bugs that traditional grading would have missed * Created a reusable grading system that will be used in future offerings of the course
