The completion of this project also involved retiring Windows Server 2003 R2 servers (upgrading Forest and Domain from 2003 Level to 2008 R2 Level) and Symantec Backup Exec 2012 software. Veeam Backup and Replication used completely for server backups. Implemented DFS and DFSR in the environment, in the process adding an additional file server as the replicating partner. Implemented Group Policy Objects for mapped drives and printers; eliminating user logon scripts.

Corrected hardware and software problems on 50+ computers, network equipment, surveillance cameras and smartphones across four locations on-site and remotely. Administered Windows Server 2008 R2 and Sonicwall TZ210 network. Established and maintained vendor relationships and provided oversight and guidance for projects.Worked closely with department supervisors to get the most out of current technology and plan for future purchases that would benefit work environment. Updated main location from a workgroup to a domain level network. Implemented Windows Server 2008 R2 RDWeb portal for remote use of applications and remote desktop connections to cut the cost of Logmein. Installed and configured Hyper-V for lab testing and for the RDWeb server, to avoid the cost of new hardware. Deployed Logmein on isolated, remote computers for remote use from main office. Deployed Secunia vulnerability management software on computers to keep them up to date on operating system and third-party software patches. Deployed Spiceworks network management software to inventory our hardware and software, see each machine's patch status, to label the price and physical location of each machine and for general network monitoring. Influenced purchase of the employee self-service module available from our major software vendor so employees could login securely over the Internet to view pay-stub, sick/vacation time, calendar, business announcements, employee manuals and anything else relevant to the employee.Deployed and maintained tablet computers for the Fiscal Court members.
