Mr. Godwin is a City Planner based in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, Mr. Godwin is an Associate Planner with Burton Planning Services (Westerville, Ohio), where he has worked on a wide variety of planning-related projects, ranging from Active Transportation Plans to Economic Development Studies. Mr. Godwin graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University’s accredited City and Regional Planning Program at the Knowlton School of Architecture in 2024. While here, Mr. Godwin earned three KSA awards for his work on studio projects, and for his leadership abilities. His work on his junior-year studio project, The Sandusky, Ohio Climate Migration Adaptation Plan (2023), was selected for induction into the Knowlton School’s Archives. After project completion, Mr. Godwin was invited to present the project at the American Planning Association - Ohio Conference in Columbus, Ohio, in the fall of 2023. While being a full-time student, Mr. Godwin held an Assistant Planner role at Burton Planning Services. During this time, he expanded upon learned knowledge through real-world application. While interning at Burton Planning Services, Mr. Godwin contributed to a variety of projects, including Active Transportation Plans, Community/Corridor plans, e-Learning coursework creation, graphic design, ADA-compliant curb ramp assessments, and more. Mr. Godwin also had the privilege of leading several community engagement meetings, where he facilitated discussions, created activities for community input, and synthesized this data. Mr. Godwin is passionate about ethical and sustainable planning practices. He hopes to share his skillset and continue to learn throughout his career.
