I also help manage some minor IT related duties.The Driving Back to Work grant is a Provincially run Federally funded grant program through Alberta Transportation with a goal of providing funding for 400 - 600 eligible unemployed Albertans annually so they can participate in Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) in order to gain a Class 1 license and join the transportation industry. I supervise a small team at Ballad that works to assess and determine the best possible applicants via a multistep approval process based on eligibility criteria handed down from Alberta Transportation. Since my time leading the program the team has received and assessed over 2500+ applications from individuals across the Province.My duties include, but are not limited to:- Writing, implementing and improving processes and documentation relating to the intake and backend process of the grant- Managing communication between schools, students, Ballad, and Alberta Transportation- Coordinating and scheduling training for 100s of grantees across the province to 30+ different driving schools. Making sure students and schools are completing their training within the timeframe provided by the grant- Collecting, analyzing, and writing weekly data and statistic reports as well as monthly narrative reports. Quarterly and annual qualitative and quantitative analysis reports based on grantee and applicant data, training and survey results- Handling all invoicing and remittance processes schools utilize in order to receive payment from the Government- Heavy use of the government database MOBIUS- Any other issues or requests relating to the grant as they arise Show less

Craft Beer Nation was (and is) a great locally owned and operated business that works closely with the craft beer market in Alberta. This was primarily a customer service position but I also was responsible for filling growlers and pouring samples, organizing and stocking the cooler and shelves, cleaning beer lines and the store, inventory management using a POS system, receiving and unpacking orders, providing customers with knowledge on different products, and heavy lifting.

This was my most challenging and rewarding role I held while at RDPL. My primary duty initially was managing the helpdesk and dealing with low level service issues across the three branches. As time went on my duties were expanded and I started to take on the mid level service requests and issues. My first role at RDPL! My responsibilities included sorting and shelving a number of different items across the Children and Young Adult libraries. I was also tasked with making sure all the books on the shelves were in their proper department, section, and space.
