Sometimes I feel like a designer who became good at programming as a means to an end, to see my ideas made real, tangible. I'm passionate about comfortable, accessible app design that feels good in the hands (I call it "Sweatpants Design"). Mobile apps should feel like little manufactured pieces of metal and glass, perfectly tuned and delightful to touch. I've worked on apps at massive scale (millions of users, must-not-fail customer interactions) all the way down to mom n' pop boutique apps (small number of discerning users), and all points between. Every app deserves to be great.Teamwork is essential. I prize detailed and timely code review, giving and receiving encouraging feedback. A healthy atmosphere is one that ensures everybody's growing and honing their craft. The best way to get the toxic developers to leave your organization is to make the senior developers responsible for the growth and success of their more junior colleagues. Everybody wins.
