I love creating new things. I love to see an idea go from sketches on a page to fully realized product. When I was 15 my dad gave me permission to design a shed in the backyard. He gave me his list of requirements and I sketched out the shed that we later built together. I learned new skills while making that shed that I still use today.As a fabricator, I found an old TIG welder in the shop and taught myself to TIG weld. I love learning new skills to expand my capabilities.My mechanical skills are well honed from a lifetime of working with my hands. When my car’s head gasket failed, I had no problem removing the engine (I own a Subaru) and making the repair. The repair was successful and I felt confident enough to do the same repair on my wife's car. I’ve got one semester left at BYU studying Mechanical Engineering. Afterwards I want to continue on to use my acquired talents to help people live better lives.
