• Prepare annual workplan budgets in coordination with project teams.

• Problem-solved by answering the finance questions of field based accountants; followed up with field offices on outstanding audit issues, these actions helped lead to a good external audit review of IJM’s books.
• Reconciled and maintained field office security deposit account.

• Helped to manage budget aspects of USAID /DOL grants using World Vision proprietary software by entering expenses and drawdown amounts, creating new grants, and troubleshooting, resulting in greater team efficiency.
• Trained three other interns in use of World Vision grant reporting software, procedure, and compliance, leading to quicker creation of financial status (SF-269) reports.
• Helped prepare four successive quarters of SF-269 reports for World Vision’s cash grants.
• Coordinated and consolidated several team efforts at fund management, such as creating and maintaining a database of World Vision’s cash grants portfolio, tracking two quarters of personnel adjustments made to field.

• Helped compile documentation for four external audits: sorted, organized, and copied thousands of pages of journal entries and vouchers.
