About me:I have evolved through the years in my career from a hands on technical role, into a hands on leadership role, I have learned and grown through these experiences. I have been in the trenches troubleshooting issues with hands on the keyboard and being woken up on call. I have been the one supporting teams through the good times and bad times and being a mentor. Understanding personal challenges at work alongside personal challenges outside of work and balancing each team member’s individual needs is critical and an art that not all leaders excel at.High level experience:Having worked in both very small (sub 25 people) to very large (over 300K people) companies has given me great insight to solving challenges both technically, politically and socially. I have reported directly to a CEO of a medium size company, been involved with CFO for financial planning and understand how to perform to the audience and task at hand. Guiding standards I follow:Be a leader not a boss, show the team instead of telling the team. Support failures along with success and be a mentor to your staff. Strong leaders are critical to success and when you find them, retain their talent, they will ensure the success of small to large projects to achieve ultimate company success. At the end of the day, people matter and they will follow strong leaders both in and out.
