Internship Experience | MK @ Princess ElizabethDuring my internship at MK @ Princess Elizabeth, I had the opportunity to learn and grow alongside experienced educators. This experience allowed me to collaborate with fellow teachers to plan and implement various events, including enriching learning journeys for the children. I was attached to two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which provided me with a diverse range of experiences.Throughout my internship, I gained valuable insights into what it means to be an educator and the importance of working collaboratively with both fellow educators and parents to support the holistic development of children. I was fortunate to receive training on how to provide literacy support for children facing challenges, conducting one-on-one sessions to enhance their learning.Roles & Responsibilities:Developed and executed 10 lesson plans, including 2 self-crafted lessons across various learning domains.Implemented effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.Collaborated with teachers to plan and organize engaging learning journeys for the children.Assisted with daily routines, including serving snacks and conducting arrival checks in the morning and afternoon.Created and prepared materials for learning corners to enhance the classroom experience.Supported the main teacher with activities during lessons, fostering a collaborative teaching environment.Compiled a portfolio for my focus child, documenting their progress and development.This internship has solidified my passion for Early Childhood Education and equipped me with practical skills that I look forward to applying in my future career.
