Focused on counter-terrorism, militia dynamics, political Islam, extremist groups and criminals, governance structures, and the possibly of elections in Libya, including reports, analysis, forecast, and sending recommendations to policymakers. Spent two months on the Libya desk for the Bureau of Near-Eastern Affairs; focused on sanctions policy including the arms embargo, economic policy and oil production, human rights, and migration issues as well as tracking latest political and security challenges. Assisted the Bureau’s desire to fill the civilian and military operations gaps through communication with Department of Defense personnel and expertise on military operations.

In this position, I must bridge the gap between the Administration and graduate students as well as support and pursue the interests of the graduate population in terms of advocacy, programming, needs, and well-being.
