In this business, every word matters. Not that I translate word for word. Quite the opposite: I root out the core sense of the text and convert it into a meaningful equivalent in my native Czech. Knowledge of the mechanics of language and the tools of the trade is just the beginning. You don't want your translations to look or sound out of place, unnatural, or – well – “translated”. You want them to speak the language of your reader (or listener), to take into account all the intricacies of your text and to read easily, comprehensibly. It’s as much about big-picture thinking as attention to detail.After more than 15 years in the localization and linguistics business, I have what it takes to be a reliable partner across the board. I have a wealth of experience in translating and proofreading websites, press releases, product brochures and other marcom materials, software user interfaces, comprehensive help files and product guides. I offer seamless and skillful translation/interpreting of presentations. I provide simultaneous as well as consecutive interpreting for conferences and press conferences from English to Czech and vice versa as needed.My specialty fields include information technologies and computers in general, consumer electronics, CAD software, enterprise telephony, music hardware and software, business and finance.I can’t mention my clients by name (most of my work is under NDA) but I can reveal that my key projects in recent years have been for a maker of some very cool phones, a design software company and a fast growing developer of customer interaction software.My greatest strength?
