For 2 weeks, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Opera House BUILD Tertiary Program in the Centre of Creativity. Our group worked together to… Show more For 2 weeks, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Opera House BUILD Tertiary Program in the Centre of Creativity. We learn’t a wide range of important skills that we used for a Design Challenge where we were in groups of 5. In one day we had to create an idea to enhance the Goal 3 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Health and Well-being. Furthermore, this had to be set around or in the Opera House in one of ARUPs future scenario. Our group worked together to create an 11th Sail in a Humans Inc Scenario based in 2040. This would incorporate advanced technology to target students about the huge environmental impact humans have on the environment and climate change. This centre would be used to educate students and a place for global and domestic events to create change using the advanced technology. Out of 8 groups, chosen by the other groups and judges, our team and our idea we deemed the winners. Looking back on this incredible experience, as an aspiring architect and working with student from different degrees, I have improved my leadership, teamwork, listening and communication skills.
