Won one of few awards for effectively communicating the position of the country of Panama on key nuclear issues in a written statement to conference judges.Team Leader- Tutored Model United Nations students in professional diplomatic writing and research to help them prepare to accurately and efficiently represent their assigned country’s positions on key international issues in written position papers.World Traveler- Lived in Japan for eleven years, from age five to sixteen. Interacted with Japanese students, scouts, and church members and learned how to love the people of a different culture. Served abroad in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for two years as a full-time volunteer representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Linguist- Studied alone, learned the languages and experienced the cultures of Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.Boy Scout- Earned Eagle Scout at age fifteen after overseeing a group effort to renovate a community park's camping area.
