Instructional Assistant
CurrentA Behavioral Instructional Aide supports students with behavioral challenges in educational settings. Their role involves assisting teachers in managing classroom behaviors and creating an environment conducive to learning. 1. Behavioral Support: Implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and reinforcing positive behavior strategies to help students stay engaged and on task. 2. Individualized Assistance: Working one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional behavioral or academic support. 3. Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, counselors, and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student behavior management. 4. Data Collection: Monitoring and documenting students’ progress in behavior and reporting on their development. 5. Crisis Intervention: Providing de-escalation strategies or interventions during instances of emotional or behavioral outbursts. 6. Classroom Support: Assisting in general classroom duties like supervising students, preparing materials, and helping maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
