I am an IT Operations Analyst at TD Bank with a passion for technology and music. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Computer Information Systems. Previously my major was computer science, but I have since developed an interest in the business side of technology. I have academic experience in calculus, JAVA, C++, COBOL, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI, and am proficient in Microsoft Office. My role today involves helping the internal employees of TD Bank with their technical issues at the TD IT service desk. We take the calls of all internal employees and help with any issues that they have. On a weekly basis I help with account unlocks, password resets, hardware, software and telephone issues. For each call we cut a ticket in ServiceNow. Any that we cannot solve are first call basis we send to the next level team. During my time with TD, I have learned to navigate the knowledge base, how to create tickets to send to other teams, problem solving, training newer employees and more about the windows operating system.I am open to working in many different fields in Information Systems. During my internship with the SUPERGirls SHINE Foundation, a local, non-profit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged girls, I researched data regarding how COVID-19 has impacted Black and Latino communities in the Houston area. This internship gave me the opportunity to work with a mentor who has experience in data analysis and to contribute to the team research paper. It was that opportunity that inspired me to pursue a Summer Research Team internship for the Department of Homeland Security Program for Minority Serving Institutions. Research has taught me how important it is to look at any topic from multiple perspectives. Additionally, the topic of cybersecurity is of personal importance to me because members of my own family have been victims of identity theft. Attending this workshop helped me develop my research skills using the tools and technologies that can keep our homeland and the world safe.
