Jasmine Curry is a natural born storyteller, as many only children are. She studied acting at NYU and spent two years as a resident actor at Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley, PA. Jasmine worked for over 15 years as an “edutainer” for companies like The Imagination Machine, California Weekly Explorer, and The Disneyland Resort. When creative work transitioned to working from home in 2020, Jasmine continued to create and perform virtually, inventing new ways to reach out to audiences that could not congregate in person. “Discovering Promo Pathway at SMC when I did was kismet. I wanted to create content but kept running into obstacles and needed to gain skills to be competitive in the industry. Every class has opened my eyes to what I am capable of, and I now see myself as a writer, producer and editor. Getting to bring my very unique point of view to promos has been incredibly rewarding.” Jasmine brings compassion, maturity, and a sense of fun to every project she works on. As a classically trained actor she knows the value of always showing up early and being prepared. As an improvisational comedian she finds joy in collaboration and the power of the words “yes, and.” As a third generation Angeleno and first generation Iranian American, she celebrates cultural diversity and is passionate about uplifting voices that have often been ignored.
