I've taken my almost 10 years of industry experience and I provide encouragement, connections, and conversations to fellow recruiters and job seekers alike. Here's more of my story: I've been in recruiting for almost a decade now, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I figured out what I wanted to do with my life. We are expected to figure all of that out when we 18 years old and quite frankly, I changed my mind several times. At 26 years old, I felt lost and unsure of what my future had in store. I graduated as a collegiate athlete and my life was in my sport. Now that I was no longer competing - who was I? As I entered the corporate space, I couldn't shake that feeling. There was a pivotal moment in my career where I looked around the office and could not see myself sitting behind a computer for the next 40++ years waiting for retirement. I had to find what my purpose was. So began the soul searching. A lot of prayers. A lot of research. A lot of tears. And more prayers. One undeniable fact about my faith is that He always answers. So, fast forward 5 years and here I am as a University Relations Specialist for one of the nation's top Talent Solutions and Consulting companies. I've found joy in being able to serve students, recent graduates and career transitioners. My role is to partner with you and be your corporate coach/cheerleader/mentor to create a positive candidate experience. I believe in communicating to create a relationship and not a transaction. Most importantly though, I realized that I still have the same desire to discover who I am outside of my career. What I do in my 9-5 is just a small glimpse into my life and one that I've found enjoyment. But I still have dreams. Ones that sometimes scare me and I'm sure you do to.
