As the Director of Equity and Community Partnership Consultant, I serve as the internal and external liaison, and training development specialist that seeks to inform, implement, and facilitate our work around racial equity, inclusion, and diversity in our organization and in our community. I convene and support both existing and potential community partners and stakeholder groups aiming to address systemic issues that align with our areas of impact.

As the Operations Manager, my primary focus was to oversee the daily operations of the organization. This included managing administrative functions, such as finance, human resources, and facilities management, as well as ensuring that the organization's programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively. I worked closely with the executive director and other staff members to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the organization's operations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Other key duties included overseeing the organization's technology and data management systems, developing and implementing training and development programs, and collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to promote the organization's mission and goals. Ultimately, as an Operations Manager, my was goal w to ensure that the Alliance for Better Nonprofits operates smoothly and efficiently, allowing it to better serve its constituents and achieve its mission.

I am passionate about making a positive impact in the community and working with a team of dedicated professionals to achieve shared goals.As the Administrator, I was responsible for managing the administrative functions of the organization, ensuring that all programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively. With 7 years of experience in administration - 3 of those years specific to nonprofit administration - I have a proven track record of success in managing budgets, analyzing financial reports, and developing strategies to maximize resources and reduce costs.

This role was one of the most dynamic roles I have had (so far) and developed the foundation of my love and support for nonprofits, community, and philanthropy. I was involved in different areas of focus at the organization, from grant writing & administration to development & fundraising, that really helped me understand and appreciate the work but also the struggles of nonprofits. What made this role so unique was the significant growing changes and shifts that the organization was experiencing that really allowed me to grow and flex my adaptability muscle. I learned to look at every shift as an opportunity for growth not only for my career, but also personal development. I learned the value of being intentional about how I'm shaping my perspective by the narratives I give influence and cultivation i.e. my time and attention.
