I'm a software developer working in cybersecurity with a bachelor's degree in computer science and music. I'm interested in cybersecurity, software programming, and medieval and Renaissance vocal music.I currently work at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHUAPL).With Lisa DiSalvo and Dr. Lydia Ray, I performed research on machine learning for automatically classifying text from privacy policies of websites and Internet of Things (IoT) devices as part of the Usable Privacy Policy Project, which has the end goal of creating a tool to extract categorized relevant information from privacy policies so that users can more easily make informed decisions about their privacy. I presented this research at the REU Research in Networking and Systems (REUNS) workshop at the IEEE Mobile Ad-hoc and Smart Systems (MASS) conference in October 2022, and our paper was published in the conference proceedings.While attending Mount Holyoke College, I double majored in music and computer science. In computer science, I studied machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing, as well as data structures and algorithms. In music, I studied early music, composition, and singing, both choral and solo.I have programming experience in Python, Java, C, and some assembly language. During college, I taught computer science classes to children and teens at iD Tech Camps, most of my classes being on programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence. While I was there, I focused on teaching classes of young women as part of an initiative to inspire girls to pursue their futures in technology. I'm passionate about computer security and privacy, and I want to use my skills to help people and organizations keep their data and systems safe.
