As a community school director, my responsibility is to oversee and coordinate various programs and services in a community school setting. I work closely with school administrators, staff, community organizations, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of students and their families are met. My role involves developing partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to provide resources and support for students and families. I organize after-school programs, extracurricular activities, and educational opportunities that enhance the learning experience and personal growth of students. Collaboration with social services, health providers, and mental health professionals is also essential to address the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our students.I act as a liaison between the school and the community, actively listening to the needs and concerns of families and advocating for resources and support on their behalf. In addition, I organize and lead community engagement events such as parent workshops, volunteer programs, and family outreach initiatives. My ultimate goal is to create a positive and inclusive learning environment while addressing the holistic needs of our students and their families, promoting their overall success and well-being.

As the former director of student services, I was responsible for overseeing and managing the various support services provided to students in our educational institution. This included counseling, health services, disability support, career guidance, student organizations, and extracurricular activities. My role involved ensuring the smooth delivery of these services, establishing policies and procedures, managing budgets, supervising staff, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall student experience. I also played a crucial role in addressing student concerns, resolving conflicts, implementing initiatives to promote student well-being, and fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment.

As a paraprofessional, my role was primarily to support students with in class and afterschool academic needs. This included, but was not limited to, tutoring, teaching, creating work related modifications, locating expanded learning opportunities, and behavioral support.

During my time as an AmeriCorps service volunteer, I committed to serving in a national service program for a period of 24 months. I worked on various projects and initiatives aimed at meeting critical community needs across different sectors like education, disaster response, health, environment, and economic development.I was assigned to a nonprofit organization where I actively engaged in tasks such as mentoring and tutoring students, implementing community improvement projects, assisting in disaster relief efforts, providing healthcare services, organizing community events, and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.My duties as an AmeriCorps service volunteer varied depending on the specific program I participated in and the needs of the community I served. However, my primary goal was to make a positive impact in underserved communities by addressing pressing social challenges, building capacity, and fostering sustainable change.
