About Jasmin H. Stevenson
Jasmin is currently undertaking of a full-time PhD in Psychology, having been awarded a PhD studentship by Nottingham Trent University. Her work is at the intersection of forensic, social, and developmental psychology and critical sexuality studies.Jasmin's voluntary work is important to her, having worked with The Safer Living Foundation for the past 7 years. In this work she supports young people who have exhibited Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) and has supported adults, who have been released from prison, with their transition back into the community.Jasmin previously held a role as a Senior Research Officer in Child and Adolescent Mental Health with Associate Development Solutions (ADS). This involved research and evaluation, consultancy and service improvement, working with public, independent, and voluntary sector organisations. These included the Department of Health, NHS England, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Mind, Rethink and Young Minds. In a previous post as a Youth Participation Lead (part of the Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) Programme), Jasmin worked in collaboration with young people to champion their voice in shaping mental health and allied services. The culmination of this was the inaugural Let's Get Mental! Conference, which has now successfully ran for 3 years. The conference places young people at the heart of bringing organisations together to share knowledge, experience and best practice for working with young people.Jasmin has taught research methods to university students for a number of years. Her own qualitative undergraduate work in female sexuality, won the undergraduate research award by the British Psychological Society’s Sexualities Section in 2016. Jasmin also has a MSc in Forensic Psychology (Nottingham Trent University) and Postgraduate Certificate in Transformational Leadership (University of Northampton). Jasmin has extensive evidence of building collaborative relationships and of multi-disciplinary working allowing for successful outcomes with various stakeholders. Jasmin brings to projects a well-rounded perspective and an ability to effectively blend both theory and practice. Through academic, research, clinical and forensic experiences, Jasmin has developed a sensitivity to contextual and interpersonal factors which have great impacts on her approach to research and evaluation; allowing for a thorough consideration of multiple perspectives which is beneficial to a wide range of projects.
