As the inaugural Chief Flight Paramedic, I lead and oversee advanced and critical care flight paramedics in 14 bases across Ontario, Canada. From busy urban centres to Ontario's remote northern Indigenous communities, Ornge flight paramedics are faced with innumerable challenges that require wide-ranging innovative solutions and leadership. It is my responsibility and privilege to lead and inspire these individuals and equip them with the knowledge, skills, abilities and tools to save lives, restore health and preserve dignity. The last three years have seen monumental change at Ornge, and I am proud to say I have been at the forefront, leading the way alongside an outstanding team of clinicians, administrators and leaders. I take pride in my ability to translate strategic vision into meaningful action.Developing the Ornge Special Operations Team has been a recent success. Focusing largely on developing best practices in the treatment and transportation of special pathogens has positioned Ornge to be a leader in this domain in under a year.

Charged with the supervision and oversight of pilots, engineers and paramedics to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery of complex rotor wing air ambulance operations in Canada's busiest urban centre.During my time as Base Manager, I co-chaired the Ornge Joint Health & Safety Committee, which saw significant improvements to the culture of reporting and safety at Ornge and paramedic perceptions about the safety of their work environment.
