Commenced my career as an Estimator/QS, gathering twelve years experience with UK contractors including Sir Robert McAlpine and Miller. Projects included numerous PFI/PPP schools (new build & refurbishment) the Hyundai semi conductor development & the new build Wishaw General Hospital.Progressed into Project Management, initially appointed as PM with ESA McIntosh (Havelock Europa PLC) I managed the FF&E installation for 17 new build schools. Promotion came via the role of Account Manager in their contracting division, for House of Fraser's new build & refurbished stores across GB & Ireland. Developments included Oxford Street London and new build Belfast store.Following the retail recession, I moved on and ran Mitie's projects within their key Scottish Government contract then promoted to oversee all project activity throughout Scotland. Clients included Lloyds/TSB, Queen Margaret University, North East Scotland College, Scottish Parliament and Sky. I established a six strong team of PMs to oversee all project activity in the region.In January 2016, I decided to move into the world of the self employed! Working as Project Management (Fife) Ltd on a number of exciting projects, for both contractors and clients. Providing QS, PM and FM roles, dependant on requirements. Clients included; Interserve, Engie FM, Vets Now and an extended fixed term contract at British Red Cross.Throughout 2017 and the first half of 2018, I worked with BRC as their TFM Project Manager. Moving from over 1,000 local suppliers to one UK wide TFM contractor that will provide soft, hard and compliance services in over 620 operational and retail properties. Subsequently moved to the TFM successful contractor on same contract, assisting Kier Facilities across Scotland. After two years overseeing project activity for BT in Scotland, I'm then enjoyed three years with Police Scotland as Construction Project Manager from March 2021.Now delighted to be Regional Workplace Experience Lead with Lloyds Banking Group, covering facilities in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
