Responsible for managing a portfolio of loans, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and monitoring changes in borrower financial condition.

Responsible for taking a lead role in underwriting the intermediate size commercial banking customers. Providing independent and sound opinions on appropriate structures, terms, covenants, and risk ratings of a credit. Taking full responsibility for all written and verbal underwriting performed, including articulating opinion of credits to Credit Committees.

In this role, I administer the City’s economic development programs and the related transactions that assist businesses, commercial property, and commercial districts. These programs include those that provide small business and commercial real estate loans, neighborhood business district support, and revenue bond financing.

In this role, I am responsible for marketing, screening, underwriting, structuring, documenting, and servicing the business development programs for a regional center city of approximately 15,000. I am responsible for providing staff reports and working with program subcommittees to provide recommendations to the City Council and EDA. I also provide staff support to the City Council and EDA in the formal approval process. Additionally, I am responsible for developing new economic development programs to meet the unique needs of the City of Worthington and presenting them to the City's policymakers for consideration.

In this role, I provided staff support to the City Council, City EDA, and City Planning Commission. I worked with the economic development, planning, and zoning components of development projects. I administrated the City's residential tax abatement and TIF assistance programs. I was responsible for working with developers and providing support throughout the development process from predevelopment through construction. This position helped me better understand all the components of, and players in, the development process and how to help developers navigate each step. I also administrated the City's Zoning Ordinance, supervised the City's Building Services and Rental Housing Departments, and was responsible for the City's economic development efforts.

In concert with my role with the City of Worthington, I served as interim Executive Director for a county-wide development organization (population: 21,629) for approximately 1.5 years. In this role, I was responsible for administering the Corporation's business development programs, including marketing, screening, underwriting, structuring, documenting, and servicing grants and loans. I also provided staff support to the Board in the formal approval process and built strong partnerships with public, private, and public-private agencies to assemble the best capital stacks for our local projects. In this role, I also provided some technical assistance to entrepreneurs or startups that needed assistance in preparing their financial request.

As Planner for the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission (UMVRDC), I develop and manage projects for local governments in the five-county area. My primary responsibilities are working with MnDOT, cities, and counties on road, bridge, rail, trail planning and funding.
