Jason managed civil engineering projects at Woolpert. He was involved in all phases of the design through construction. He was responsible for client and contractor interaction, proposals, agreements, entitlements, public meetings, design management, and professional submittal to agencies.Jason's project engineering duties included land surveying, property and right-of-way investigations, legal description development, plat development, roadway design, lot maximization, earthwork balancing, storm water management, air/water pollution prevention, infrastructure design and construction document development.Jason was responsible for supporting, guiding and advising architects and engineers in their efficient use of technology for developing sustainable designs. This included the uses of BIM in horizontal and vertical design for all disciplines.

Jason was employed during the summer to assist in the testing of coal from different Arch Coal mines. Testing included following strict standards for control of the results including burnability, sulfur content, ash, etc.His duties also included obtaining coal samples from strip and underground mines, participating in coal treatment plant testing for standards, and general computer data entry of results.
