As an Employer Consultant, my role includes although not limited to;- Secure sustainable employment outcomes for jobseekers through active engagement with both employers and jobseekers. - Be responsible for meeting agreed KPIs, related to employer engagement and employment outcomes - Provide support to other team members to optimise employment outcomes for people with disabilities. - Responsible for finding employment opportunities for people looking for open employment (e.g. employer engagement, cold canvasing and reverse marketing- Actively engage with ‘work ready’ jobseekers to secure sustainable employment outcomes.- Build mutually beneficial relationships with employers, Registered Training Organisations and Traineeship and Apprenticeship Centres. - Develop links and negotiate employment options for jobseekers with local employers, utilising wage subsidies and all other available initiatives to support and sustain long term employment. - Develop and maintain professional knowledge of, and provide advice on, areas including but not necessarily limited to the Disability Employment Services Deed, the local labour market, local support services and vocational training programs. - Champion an exceptional customer service experience for jobseekers and employers.- Manage referral and placement outcomes of vacancies and record results in systems. MyResponsibilities included: ● Teaching Motor Vehicle Studies and Skills for Working life to teenage children aged 14 - 16 years old with severe behavioural and learning difficulties ● Investigated the student's behavioural issues and attendance problems through effective interviewing ● Mentored the students liaising closely with them visiting them regularly in their family home ● I was promoted to Fleet Manager for the schools 8 vehicles which included standardising documentation; vehicle tax, MOT's, insurances and managing servicing schedule and light repairsAchievements: ● EOTAS operated on limited funding, I noticed we were spending a lot of money on fuel during school runs and investigated how we could reduce the spend. I negotiated and implemented a contract between the Council and EOTAS for refuelling the minibus fleet which decreased our fuel spend by 20p a litre consumed ● Our students regularly vandalised their school buses and the cost to the School to regularly repair them was extremely high. I encouraged the students to take pride and ownership in their School Buses by teaching them to repair the minibuses for minor work. The students felt a sense of accomplishment and damage to the interiors stopped overnight. We also saved a significant amount of money from keeping the light repair work in-house. Show less
