I was a litigation associate with a nationwide practice in products liability defense. I primarily represented automobile manufacturers and manufacturers of automobile components in catastrophic personal injury matters.

I was an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, with a focus on commercial litigation, personal injury, and workers' compensation defense. As a litigator, I handled all aspects of civil litigation, defending cases from inception through trial and working closely with clients in order to obtain favorable resolution of suits. In the workers’ compensation realm, I represented employers and carriers before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and the Court of Appeals of Virginia. In this capacity, I provided guidance to employers and carriers on litigation, settlement, appeal, and mediation of workers’ compensation matters.

I represented Henrico County and its employees in a wide variety of civil litigation matters before Virginia state and federal courts. In particular, I gained extensive experience defending police officers, teachers, bus drivers, and other County employees in personal injury actions in Virginia state courts. Additionally, I regularly advised County agencies on various topics including risk management, bankruptcy, employment law, intellectual property, contracts, and land use/zoning.
