I am a recently completed PhD student with a background in immunology focused on investigating the spread of HSV infection within skin. My studies entailed managing my own project, advancing lab-based work, and providing summaries and reports to supervisors. From this I gained extensive experience collaborating with experts, working in multi-functional teams, and communicating with external stakeholders. I have developed a problem-solving mindset and experience in data analyse which I plan to leverage to add value to future employers. I was constantly challenged to communicate my project in appropriate manner highlighting novelty while not confusing listeners. This allows me to clearly take in, accurate summaries, and present information in a format that suits the intended audience. During my time as a student, I was heavily involved in student societies managing a team to organise community focused events. I was proactively engaged in this role and in my previous institute hoping to further expand my skillset and experience. I have broad interests and seek to gain exposure to different business models and products. I am now looking to transfer my skills into industry and develop my career.
