I am a Shareholder in the firm's Litigation Department. My practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, financial institution regulatory matters, white collar criminal representations of institutions and individuals, and appellate advocacy.

I was in charge of conducting global internal investigations for HSBC involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), antitrust law, trade sanctions, and the Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering laws, among other things.

As a federal prosecutor, I represent the United States in grand jury investigations, criminal trials, civil forfeiture matters, and appeals to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, among other things. I have conducted five jury trials, securing guilty verdicts in all five, including an 11-week trial involving the largest illegal tax shelter scheme in U.S. history. I have investigated and prosecuted cases involving crimes such as mail and wire fraud, securities fraud, health care fraud, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, money laundering, embezzlement, commercial kickbacks and bribery, and various federal tax crimes, among other things.

In the fall of 2013, I taught Criminal Trial Practice at Cardozo Law School. Criminal Trial Practice is a “hands on” course that teaches law students the basic skills necessary to conduct a criminal trial. Students learned how to pick a jury, select the theory of your case, attack the other side’s case, conduct witness examinations, offer evidence (and keep it out), give jury addresses, and several other skills necessary to present or defend a criminal case to a judge or jury.

As an associate at Kirkland & Ellis, I coordinated and conducted two multi–country internal investigations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. I was also a member of the civil litigation practice group.

In the fall of 2008, I taught a seminar on federal sentencing law at George Washington Law School. The Federal Sentencing Seminar explored numerous topics, such as historical sentencing practices in the United States, different theories of punishment, the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and the substantial changes in federal sentencing brought forth by Booker and its progeny.

In the fall of 2007, I taught a seminar on federal sentencing law at Hofstra Law School. The Federal Sentencing Seminar explored numerous topics, such as historical sentencing practices in the United States, different theories of punishment, the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and the substantial changes in federal sentencing brought forth by Booker and its progeny.

I served as a law clerk to United States District Judge Kenneth M. Karas in the Southern District of New York.
