Profile bio

About Jason Cooper

Early career public health professional, contributing to research initiatives advancing innovation and change in positive health, development and wellbeing outcomes for children and the adults they become across the life course.Through a public health lens, I believe strongly in focusing ‘up-stream’ toward the root cause of contemporary health problems, and in prioritising prevention and early intervention approaches where possible, to limit problems occurring in the first place, and to optimise population health and quality of life outcomes from the beginning of life. I bring to my work a strong focus on redressing social determinants of inequitable health inequalities. I aim to do so in a way that both drives for necessary systemic change (e.g., health and public policy reform), while also empowering individuals and communities at the grassroots. I am motivated to incorporate consumer engagement/ co-design and community-centred practice processes/ approaches wherever possible into my work, with an overarching aim of empowering children, adults and communities to lead healthier, flourishing and more fulfilled lives through collaborative involvement in finding solutions.

The project was informed by the field of implementation science, with an aim to consolidate and orientate the data within the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) conceptual framework. By collating and consolidating the available data into the CFIR domains, my completed project will be used to assist in the co-design and implementation processes for the intervention model’s pilot trial implementation.
