Jason serves as the Director of Choirs at Mason High School in Mason, Ohio, where he oversees all choral ensembles as part of a highly successful music program. Ensembles under his direction have been invited to perform in concert with the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music as well as Miami University (Oxford). Mason's Honors Concert Choir was 1 of 12 choirs selected nationally to perform for the 2019 Music for All National Choral Festival.He most recently conducted Voci Sonore, one of the ensembles in the Cincinnati Youth Choir program designed for changed and changing male voices through 12th grade.Jason served as the director of choirs at Highlands High School from 2012-2015. Choirs under his direction received Distinguished ratings at the Kentucky Music Educators Association annual performance assessment events, and he also served as the music director for the school's musicals. He also taught AP Music Theory as part of his teaching assignment at Highlands.During his tenure in the Finneytown Local School District, Jason McKee helped bring statewide recognition to the district. Choirs under his direction consistently received Superior and Excellent ratings at Ohio Music Education Association district and state adjudicated events, with the Finneytown Chorale receiving its first 4 Superior ratings in Class AA in school history at the OMEA state adjudicated event. Students under his direction have also been featured on WSTR-TV, WCET, and FOX19 in Cincinnati. In addition, Jason was also nominated twice for the Finneytown PTA Educator of the Year.Jason has also been active in church music ministry as well, having directed the choir at Shiloh United Methodist Church for 8 years. He has been a vocalist for All Saints Catholic Church in Montgomery, Ohio since 2004.He served the Ohio Music Education Association as District 14 Secretary-Treasurer (2008-2010) and in leadership capacities for the organization's annual conference as well as other projects. Jason has also served on the conference planning committee for American Choral Directors Association Central Region Conferences, serving as a chairperson for the conference exhibits and has served ACDA at the state level as a High School Repertoire & Resources Chair for the Ohio Choral Directors Association.
