As a Disaster Survivor Assistance Specialists, I deploy during a disaster response and conduct crisis management activities for FEMA. Typical duties are engaging survivors directly to assist in problem-solving by utilizing effective communication, teamwork, working under pressure, and computer proficiency. Partnering with local, state, tribal, and federal agencies to maximize recovery efforts of the affected communities.
