Senior Intelligence Officer of a Special Forces Battalion composed of 515 personnel organized into three company sized Special Forces Operational Detachment Bravos, 18 Special Forces Operational Detachment Alphas, a Forward Support Company, and a Headquarters and Support Company. Leads and supervises battalion intelligence section in support of the battalion's missions to conduct Special Warfare activities focused on Foreign Internal Defense and Unconventional Warfare, and to conduct Surgical Strike activities focused on Counterterrorism in the USSOUTHCOM, USNORTHCOM and USPACOM AORs. Responsible for planning and supervising the battalion intelligence collection programs, remaining abreast of intelligence for identified geographical areas, conducting Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE), the battalion personnel security program, and the battalion physical security program. Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of over $1 million dollars’ worth of assigned equipment.

Senior Intelligence Officer for Special Operations throughout Central America (CENTAM). Responsible for the collection, processing, and analysis of Special Operations intelligence disciplines to leverage rapid response capabilities, partner nation collaboration, and regional cooperation throughout the 7 countries of CENTAM. This directly supports U.S. national security objectives, defends the Southern approaches of the United States, and promotes regional security and stability.

Commander of the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Military Intelligence Detachment composed of 56 personnel. Responsible for four separate sections that support the Battalion Commander, staff, and three Special Forces Companies in conducting Special Operations. Leads the battalion's intelligence sections in support of the battalion's missions to conduct Special Warfare activities focused on Foreign Internal Defense and Unconventional Warfare and to conduct Surgical Strike activities focused on Counterterrorism in the Korean Theatre of Operation (KTO), USCENTCOM, USSOUTHCOM and USNORTHCOM AORs. Directs the production of Imagery, Signals, and All Source Intelligence; oversees the Counter-Intelligence section, which provides Human Intelligence and interrogation support for Battalion missions. Directs all training, discipline, morale, welfare, and employment of the Detachment. Responsible for military intelligence equipment valued in excess of $8 million dollars.

Military Intelligence Captain Career Course (MICCC) is designed to produce competent, skilled leaders capable of performing the duties of Battalion S2, Assistant Brigade S2, Brigade or Division S2 and Operations or Collection Manager. At the MICCC, students receive instruction in leadership and leadership essentials, the Military Decision Making Process, Counter-Insurgency Operations, Information Collection and intelligence support to Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) and brigade operations in unified land operations. The training will provide an educational experience that describes the Army's operational "Life Cycle" training. MI officers will develop and hone skills essential for success in combat and garrison operations.

Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and safe operation of 12 General Services Administration vehicles. Supervises a supply budget of $200,000. Serves as HHD Intelligence Oversight Officer.

CJ2 Operations Officer for NATO Special Operations Component Command -Afghanistan/Special Operations Joint Task Force Afghanistan, a deployed two-star level command comprising 5,000 personnel in four components geographically dispersed in over 20 locations across the Combined Joint Area of Operations - Afghanistan. Responsible for answering current operations intelligence requirements, supporting the common operating picture, daily intelligence briefings to the Commanding General, and coordinating answers to information requests from the Command, staff and subordinate units. Supports crisis response and crisis action planning.

Assistant Operations Officer for the Army's largest and most widely dispersed military intelligence battalion, with subordinate elements in 56 separate locations across the United States. Develops, plans and assists with training, investigations, operations, collection and analysis. Responsible for the development of all battalion operation orders, taskings and operational correspondence. Synchronizes the deployment of assigned personnel into combat operations worldwide and manages the deployment process through notification, movement into theater and successful reintegration. Oversees all elements of military and civilian training. Prepares military and civilian personnel to deploy in support of joint forces contingency requirements. Manages Battalion training program including allocation school assignments for MOS and non-MOS specific training. Assumes responsibilities of the S3 in his absence.
