- Conducts criminal investigations and serves as an armed NASA Federal Agent with arrest authority.- Develops, interprets, and implements security-education-related training programs and materials.- Ensures compliance with NASA's Information and Industrial Security Programs; collaborates and coordinates internally and externally to identify best practices in information/Industrial security.- Manages security programs to protect classified and sensitive information; promote efficiency in information creation, classification, safeguarding, handling, and use.-Monitors execution of security plans and recommends action necessary to recognize excellence and/or to resolve problems.- Reviews initial and periodic compliance and performance survey reports, advises acceptance, modification, or rejection of specific recommendations to manager and other program officials; and develops alternatives for required corrective actions.-Evaluates sabotage and theft vulnerability studies and assures that the results are integrated into security plans.-Conducts surveys of security programs as well as special investigations of incidents involving security interests.
