Adjunct Professor of History

Began as a staff assistant in the mailroom of a Senate office, then promoted to Director of Constituent Communications. Was then also made a legislative correspondent then given another duty as legislative aide for NASA policy. Spent most of my time in the Senate fulfilling those three positions/duties at once. Working on NASA policy, with the men and women of NASA past and present — including getting to meet and engage in discussion with childhood heroes like Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Gene Cernan — and helping to negotiate and draft the NASA Authorization Act of 2010 to help ensure our nation's future in space exploration is my most treasured experience and greatest personal accomplishment from my time in the U.S. Senate.
