As I continued to advance with BlackRock to Managing Director, the Chief Data Officer tasked me to build out a global 300+-person Data, Analytics, and Reporting team. I immediately succeeded in ensuring the integrity of investment, performance, and risk management data for >$25 trillion in AUM while improving support services to BlackRock investment teams and Aladdin clients. Currently, I am steering a 10-person project team to improve the use of machine learning techniques in the data quality control (QC) process.My innovations provide Aladdin clients and investment professionals with timely, relevant, and complete data, analytics, and reporting. One initiative propelled BlackRock's global footprint by powering significant growth in India, pioneering Blackrock partnerships with service providers in Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore using a follow-the-sun model. I defined, delivered, and maintained complex technology, high-quality data, and efficient operational programs for BlackRock's proprietary Aladdin platform. Also, I played a key role in setting the strategic technical direction of the Aladdin platform to improve quality, increase scale, and support enterprise growth.Highlights:* Capitalized on machine learning and data mining techniques to create key themes and executables, managed through SPRINTS as part of an Agile project management framework.* Enabled internal investment professionals to better navigate through volatile market moves while removing ~80% of volume (7mm to 1.5mm) and minimizing false positives.* Paved the way for BlackRock's Aladdin business to propel revenues 15%-20% YoY as key player on team that built one of the industry's leading data factories.An innovation was establishing a Governance Committee to conduct monthly reviews of new data asks and Aladdin platform enhancements for stakeholder agreement, zero disruption in product and data delivery during implementation, and alignment of strategic initiatives.

While overseeing nightly production processes, I developed a high-performing team that earned a reputation for minimizing technology issues and achieving daily client deliverable times for data, reporting, and analytics, involving avoiding delays and interruptions for clients' daily trading decisions. I increased organizational involvement in client servicing within data quality, delivery, and content functions, aligned the team with business partner data needs, and strengthened relationships.I positioned QC operators to fast-track resolution and escalation of data disparities through data detectors that flagged outliers in day-over-day numerical changes. Also, I raised the quality of data accuracy, completeness, and relevance through exploratory analysis, advanced analytics, and research across different data sets and collections.As VP, Portfolio Analytics Group, I led the launch of the global Aladdin QC organization to serve both internal and external clients. I staffed the organization across Singapore, India, Scotland, and the US while driving strategic team vision and implementing superior processes, platforms, and tools.I hired 50+ top-notch analysts per year by taking charge of the analyst recruiting program and launching and managing a 3-month, new-hire training program. Travel involved 6 months per year visits to key college campuses to interview and recruit right-fit candidates.I began my prolific tenure with this global investment management corporation and the world's largest asset manager as Associate, Portfolio Analytics Group for 5 years.
