Exxonmobil Hastings Generation Project - Hastings, Vic

Acciona were contracted for construction of 3 Solar Titan gas-fired turbines and infrastructure for ExxonMobil’s Hastings Generation Project. As Cranes and Rigging/Heavy Lift Supervisor my core role responsibilities include:► Acciona’s Site Manager for the first 9 months, managing a team of 6 for the unloading and storage of components, and to procure additional equipment for the imminent commencement of construction, and have since been in the role of Cranes and Rigging/Heavy Lift Supervisor, coordinating and supervising a team of 28 (4 leading hands, 5 crane operators, 15 riggers and 4 scaffolders) to ensure the safe, on-time and on-budget delivery of cranes and rigging/heavy lift services► Developing heavy lift studies, conducting site safety walks, and ensuring the safe operation and upkeep of 100t and 350t crawler cranes, 250t and 55t mobile cranes, 25t Frannas and 55t forklifts for the lifting and placement of <70t turbine components, 70t electrical HV/LV switch rooms, all structural steel and piping, and precast concrete pit placements► Ensuring compliance with lift studies, risk assessments and safe lifting methods, identifying and controlling hazards, holding meaningful safety interactions, intervening during any unsafe act, and leading by example regarding compliance with HSE systems and Australian Lifting Codes, Regulations and Standards (same for all roles below)► Facilitating and/or attending daily pre-start meetings, site supervisor meetings, and weekly site progress meetings (with the client - ExxonMobil), and conducting heavy lift break down and walk throughs with client representatives ► Developing positive relationships with management, subordinates, client representatives and other site contractors for an integrated approach to heavy lifts, and modelling positive behaviours (same for all roles below)► Reviewing hazard assessments such as JHA’s and Take 5’s, and following all structural plans (same for all roles below).

Point Wilson Waterside Infrastructure Remediation Project - Port Philip Bay, Vic

BMC specialises in construction of wharves, jetties, offshore pipelines, bridges and other marine-based structures. They have fleet of construction barges, cranes and piling hammers for civil and commercial applications. The PWWIR Project involved remediation of the Point Wilson Explosives Area waterside infrastructure to enable recommencement of bulk EO import operations, and BMC were contracted for construction works. As an Open Crane Operator, core role responsibilities included (but were not limited to):► Safe and efficient operation of a Liebherr LR 1100 crawler in the lay down yard for first month of employment, and since then, operation of Liebherr LR 1300 and LR 1500 lattice boom crawler cranes on floating barge systems to ensure the safe lifting, movement and placement of steel pile casings, rio cages, work boats, and 10t pile vibrators and hydraulic power packs, and to assist with concrete kibble pouring, and demolition of old wharf sections ► Determining safe lifting methods, conducting heavy lifts and 2-hook operations, de-reeving and re-reeving luffing ropes, and replacement of 2 x 32 FSWR cables on barge winches.

Boral’S Clinker Grinding Facility Construction Project - Geelong Port, Vic

Acciona supports large infrastructure projects and delivery teams in the design and construction of ground engineering solutions, most specifically in piling and ground retention for rail corridors, road infrastructure and marine environments. Boral Cement’s $130M new clinker grinding and cement facility at the Geelong Port involves construction of a new grinding, storage and dispatch facility, with wharf works including hoppers and a conveying system, and Acciona were contracted to provide construction and heavy lift services. Employed as an Open Crane Operator, my core role responsibilities included (but were not limited to):► Safe and efficient operation of Liebherr LR 1130 and LR 1300 lattice boom crawler cranes with luffing fly attachments, and a Tadano GR-900x-4 rough terrain crane to ensure the safe lifting of heavy (85t) sections for 2 concrete batching silos, structural steel, motors, smaller (45t) silos, 30t modular sections, roof sections, and conveyor access platform ► Designed all heavy lift studies and associated crane layouts for heavy lifts and dual lifts, advised on rigging requirements (e.g. equalising sheeves, lifters etc.), conducted heavy and dual lifts, and strictly followed all structural plans► Scoped work fronts, reviewed work packs, conducted heavy lift calculations, determined safe lifting methods, conducted dual lifts, and ensured compliance with permitting requirements.

Inpex Ichthys Lng Project (Ccp9 Package) - Darwin, Nt

EnerMech provides construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance services to the onshore and offshore oil and gas sector. JKC (the Head EPC Contractor for Ichthys LNG) awarded EnerMech a $multi-million contract for structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) construction and pre-commissioning services on the 490MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (known as the CCP9 Package). Employed as an Open Crane Operator, my core role responsibilities included (but were not limited to): ► Safe and efficient operation of a range of all terrain and rough terrain cranes including Tadano GR 145 with fly, Liebherr LTM 1100 with fly, and Tadano GR 90 with fly, as well as a 25t Franna as and when required, and man box work► Assisted with development of lift studies, lift plans and risk assessments, and conducted dual and fly jib lifts for structural steel, pipe spools, valves, scaffolding, motors, and power packs.

Inpex Ichthys Lng Project (Ccpp) - Darwin, Nt

Monadelphous provides engineering, construction and maintenance services to the oil and gas, mining, refining and civil sectors. JKC awarded them a contract to provide structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) and E&I construction works for the gas turbine generators and steam piping in the CCPP. As Open Crane Operator, my core role responsibilities included (but were not limited to):► Safe and efficient operation of a range of rough terrain cranes including Tadano GR 145, GR 90 and GR 70, and Liebherr LTM 1100 models, for the safe lifting and placement of large steam pipe spools for the main intake pipe rack in the CCPP► Assisted with the development of lift studies, lift plans and risk assessments, and conducted dual lifts and fly jib lifts, as well as man box work as required.

Inpex Ichthys Lng Project (Cryogenic Tanks) - Darwin, Nt

Laing O’Rourke provides engineering, construction and maintenance services to the onshore, offshore, upstream and downstream oil and gas, mining, civil infrastructure, power generation, water, utilities and commercial, sectors, and they were contracted for construction of 4 cryogenic tanks. As Open Crane Operator, core role responsibilities included (but were not limited to):► Safe and efficient operation of a range of lattice boom crawler cranes, including Liebherr LTR 1060, LTR 1220, LR 1300 and LR 2500, and Kobelco CKE 1800 and 2500 models (luffing fly and fixed fly), to ensure the safe lifting and placement of steel/form work and 18t steel wall plates for the cryogenic tanks► Assisted with the development of lift studies, lift plans and risk assessments, conducted heavy lift calculations, determined safe lifting methods, and conducted dual lifts► Worked with the ALE Heavy Lift Crew on the assembly and dismantling of a Liebherr LR 11350 crawler crane.
