Acciona were contracted for construction of 3 Solar Titan gas-fired turbines and infrastructure for ExxonMobil’s Hastings Generation Project. As Cranes and Rigging/Heavy Lift Supervisor my core role responsibilities include:► Acciona’s Site Manager for the first 9 months, managing a team of 6 for the unloading and storage of components, and to procure additional equipment for the imminent commencement of construction, and have since been in the role of Cranes and Rigging/Heavy Lift Supervisor, coordinating and supervising a team of 28 (4 leading hands, 5 crane operators, 15 riggers and 4 scaffolders) to ensure the safe, on-time and on-budget delivery of cranes and rigging/heavy lift services► Developing heavy lift studies, conducting site safety walks, and ensuring the safe operation and upkeep of 100t and 350t crawler cranes, 250t and 55t mobile cranes, 25t Frannas and 55t forklifts for the lifting and placement of <70t turbine components, 70t electrical HV/LV switch rooms, all structural steel and piping, and precast concrete pit placements► Ensuring compliance with lift studies, risk assessments and safe lifting methods, identifying and controlling hazards, holding meaningful safety interactions, intervening during any unsafe act, and leading by example regarding compliance with HSE systems and Australian Lifting Codes, Regulations and Standards (same for all roles below)► Facilitating and/or attending daily pre-start meetings, site supervisor meetings, and weekly site progress meetings (with the client - ExxonMobil), and conducting heavy lift break down and walk throughs with client representatives ► Developing positive relationships with management, subordinates, client representatives and other site contractors for an integrated approach to heavy lifts, and modelling positive behaviours (same for all roles below)► Reviewing hazard assessments such as JHA’s and Take 5’s, and following all structural plans (same for all roles below).

Point Wilson Waterside Infrastructure Remediation Project - Port Philip Bay, Vic

BMC specialises in construction of wharves, jetties, offshore pipelines, bridges and other marine-based structures. The PWWIR Project involved remediation of the Point Wilson Explosives Area waterside infrastructure to enable recommencement of bulk EO import operations, and BMC were contracted for construction works. Acciona supports large infrastructure projects and delivery teams in the design and construction of ground engineering solutions, most specifically in piling and ground retention for rail corridors, road infrastructure and marine environments. Boral Cement’s $130M new clinker grinding and cement facility at the Geelong Port involves construction of a new grinding, storage and dispatch facility, with wharf works including hoppers and a conveying system, and Acciona were contracted to provide construction and heavy lift services.
